How about a alumni mailing list? Now and then we want to contact our alumni, but it's just something that "exists" in someone's mailbox or not at all. If we put emails in a mailing list (would love to put it on the wiki, but unfortunately that's not the best idea as I can't make it secure/hidden/safe), they'll be somewhere at least.
