Kick-Off - January 9th

Hi all,

I hope we all are having a wonderful, relaxing winter break. As well as bringing us new years resolutions, the new year also brings the 2010 FIRST Robotics season. The FIRST Robotics season is the big robot that we build from scratch in six weeks and compete with other teams in our region.

As many veterans may remember, last year we went to GA Tech to watch the NASA Broadcast of the FIRST Robotics Competition kickoff live from New Hampshire. Instead this year we as a team will go to Creekland Middle School and watch the broadcast with nearby FRC teams. During this time there will be a FLL (FIRST LEGO League) going on at the same time. This kickoff event will give us time to brainstorm with other teams and view an FLL event.

We would like for everyone to be at Creekland Middle School by 9:45 AM as the broadcast will start at 10:00 AM sharp. Thus it is your own responsibility to find your ride there. Please invite your parents to come to the kickoff as this is a important moment which kickstarts the Spring season into motion.

The regionals that we will be attending for FRC are:
Peachtree Regional - March 4th - 6th
Palmetto Regional - March 25th - 27th
FIRST Championship - April 15th - 17th

More information will be given about these regionals at a later date.
