2010 cBase Chassis

Post by freds »

I had an idea, to save time. Instead of building the new chassis, let's take the existing 6wd cbasis and add the extensions. We could then use the existing gearboxes and electronics.

What extensions? For the kit chassis? Not sure how much is different between the two, plus it'd go darn fast.

I think Mr. Smith is talking about the axle mounts that allow the wheels to be mounted lower.

And I do agree with Mr. Smith on that it'll go faster if we just transfer the things over. Plus it'll save time later on in having to take the new stuff apart to build the competition frame we'll be using.

I'll print out the C-base building instructions for tomorrow's meeting.

Yeah, it definitely would. I'm not sure if they're any different, but they seem to be the same from what I've saw on Saturday. Whoever does it might have to either move the motors around or get a bit creative with the chaining (which I think already requires creativity since I'm not sure if the sprockets that come with it are 25 or 35, the current cBase is 25) as the current one is a bit modified.

The chassis is still at my office from GaTech, so I will try and get to the school by 2:30 or so with the chassis.
